Military

Prime Technology offers a substantial pool of engineering talent capable of tackling the demanding needs of the military. We are security cleared to Classified levels and are familiar with a large number of military standards and requirements. Our innovative ideas have been implemented into solutions meeting the military's strict requirements, all at substantial savings in life cycle cost, while maintaining the highest level of reliability. We are experienced in developing and supplying COTS products, and the associated potential cost savings. We have developed an outstanding design department with considerable 3-D Modeling capabilities. The following is just a partial list of such projects:

SSGN Upgrade:  We are responsible for the design upgrade of the Trim and Drain, Forward Hovering and Missile Hatch panels used in the SSGN conversion.  In performing this assignment we managed the design, qualification and fabrication of all panels.  All three panels were qualified for Shock, Vibration, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), and Environmental.

Laser Backup Hardware System: A system used as a failsafe backup that monitors and controls the chemicals on board the new Airborne Laser program. The system allows for the control, and potential purge, of onboard chemicals in the event of a catastrophic failure.

Smart Tank Level Indication System:  We have developed a multiple configuration modular tank level system used for all tank measurements performed in the Virginia class submarines.  This system substantially minimizes the logistics support thanks to our patented meter cloning and curve linearization technologies.

Deep submersible rescue vehicle:  We were responsible for the design of the environmental monitoring system used in the deep submersible rescue vehicle.  This system comprises two monitoring consoles (one aboard the rescue vehicle the other on the surface ship) interconnected by an umbilical cord over which data and voice are simultaneously transmitted.

Astute Class Submarine:  We were responsible for the design of an advanced state machine measuring instrument used on the Astute Class submarine of the British Navy based on the application of an FPGA device.  The instrument is used in safety related applications within that platform, specifically in the monitoring of the nuclear reactor operational parameters. The instrument was designed and qualified to meet rigorous Safety Integrity Level requirements.
